10.14.08 -- Picture Books at the Double Door
10.18.09 | w/Inspector Owl | Geronimo | A Million Years
Double Door
7pm doors | 8pm show | $5 | 21+
Though our communication has been lax as of late there has been much going on inside camp P-Books. So if you're interested I will randomly fill you in on them as they percolate into my gray matter.
We're playing a show this Sunday 10/18 with some really great pals: Geronimo!, Inspector Owl, and NYC's very own A Million Years. Taking place at Double Door in that busting metropolis of Wicker Park, we suggest you all come in from the oncoming cold and warm yourselves up with a hot cup of sweet sweet jams. Picture Books will be starting off this extravaganza, so get there by 8! Did we mention it's only 5 bones?
We will likely be doing another holiday show again right around the new year. The details are still coming together, but we're gonna do our best to make it bigger and better and badder and brighter and bitter than last year.
Sorry if our previous absence from your internet experience has, in any way, caused you depression. We wholeheartedly
apologize. Here's hoping you've been able to live a functional existence. We'll do better by you from here on out.
Keep plucking that chicken,
-Picture Books Nick P.

9.01.09 -- Ramona Falls / Welcome to the brank spankin' new picturebooksmusic.com!
9.11.09 | Opening for Ramona Falls
The Chopin Theatre (presented by empty bottle)
1543 W Division | Chicago
All ages | $7 advance (buy tickets here) / $10 at the door
We are pleased as punch to be playing with Ramona Falls as they embark on their first tour. Ramona Falls is the side project of Brent Knopf from Menomena, so you know it'll be super sweet.
Also anyone who attends can snag a free copy of Picture Books - Live at Pianos, a full show recorded during our East Coast tour earlier this year.
The show is all ages and it'd be great to see you - we're hoping to make it a big night of rock 'n' roll. It's all happening at The Chopin Theatre, a great venue where the Empty Bottle just started doing shows.
